Let's imagine a world where China is, and has been for centuries, the globe's most dominant power, with global economic, diplomatic, military, and cultural influence equal to or surpassing that of the OTL USA. Chinese is the lingua franca of this world, and is the language in which trade is usually conducted in, much like OTL English. There has been no standardized system of romanticizing the Chinese language, or, for that matter, adapting it to any other alphabet either-while it is often done for the purposes of teaching the Chinese language to foreigners, there's no "official" alphabetization to use. In such a world, how exactly would computer technology (Both coding and interface-wise), develop, given the limitations of a non-alphabet language?
