Communist revolution in Mexico 1920s. Necessary PoD

As it says... Can we & how, get to a full scale Communist revolution in Mexico circa 1925, bonus if a Communist government runs most of it before 1930.

At some point there will be US intervention with knock on effects for the US in WWII & beyond.

Between 1920-1929? Not possible. Any protesters or dissidents were killed by Calles.

The only way a Communist Government could surge is with a Zapata victory during the revolution or with a more radicalized Lázaro Cárdenas during the 30's

This was one thought I had, but dont know enough about Mexican politics or social trends. So, perhaps some group of Communist leaders might be capable of gaining power via a Zapata government?

Maybe if Ricardo Magón had lived more time and established a friendship with Zapata during the revolution we could have had a communist government. but there would be opposition that at the time were more popular than Zapata and Magón: The laborist Obregón and his protegé Plutarco Calles, The Constitutionalist Carranza and the conservative De la Huerta

I was wondering if this could be a electoral victory of the Communists, or a Bolshivik style coup would be necessary. Either way I think the US would be doing its interventionist thing, as in Nicaragua. The difference is in how the US intervenes & the details of Mexican resistance to Communist rule.
