So I've been thinking, the history of Communism in the 20th century has been very much tied to that of Russia. So lets assume that the Russian Empire doesn't go communist for whatever reason, and then dominate international communism. Would another major country have become the first communist country and take on the role the USSR did? How would the butterflies effect how Communism was percieved by the world if there were no communist countries in the 1920s? How would fascism evolve without a Lenin and Stalin? Would a smaller country be the first to become communist and then not have to power to exert the policies that saw the USSR dominate the Communist world, and in turn lead to a more international communism?
Beware butterflies in the millions!
