Comic Idea: "Why So Sherlock?"

So should this be a larger project for later?

Kay, poll to tell me whether you want me to abandon any other project to give AH.com a comic about the 1920s where Sherlock Holmes is sent to New York City by the British at request of the Americans (bought his services) in order to hunt down the newest Super Villain. The Joker, as he calls himself, is on quite the rampage, his technological prowess making the headlines every single time. Sherlock Holmes has of course heard of him, and takes the challenge.

They're both younger than they are usually portrayed in canon, about 25 (because I myself am in my 20s and don't want to stretch my creation too far), which is why they appear kinda young. But this would be my first giganta-project with the drawing tablet I have now. My skills need to be honed, so obviously this might help, practice practice you know?

So be gentle on critiquing this conceptual picture, I'm very tired and I've only had this tablet less than a month. I'll get better, promise, but based on this one picture yes or no?

Kay so I come back in 12 hours and two people voted, no comments but so far an entire two people think it would be fun.;)

I believe that Holmes was about 26 years of age at his first appearance in print. The idea that he is usually a bit older is that he has generally been portrayed by middle aged actors.

There is at least one of the DC Elseworlds' Gotham by Gaslight storylines that has Batman going up against the Joker IIRC.

There are other possible detectives besides Sherlock Holmes that were sleuthing in the 1920s.

The art is good, but I think your Joker could use a bit of work. Maybe give him more of a curved-pointed smile than a round clown-like one.
