Columbia and Britannia: Has anyone read this?

I haven't heard of them really mentioned in the mainstream . . . which means they're probably good.
 
Well the map doesn't look cliched. And the description seems to have actually had some thought put into it. Seems solid so far.

EDIT: Looking at the timeline I find it really unlikely that John Adams would have done anything treasonous, Sam on the other hand...

EDIT2: Also, that World War doesn't really make sense.

Well there is the problem of them not knowing how latitude works but otherwise its a pretty nice set of divisions.
