After the 1954 Season: The UBL added Double-A Minor League System but Major League Baseball could be fighting for Relocation in 1956 by letting one team from the National League to be moved to the South and the Philadelphia Phillies maybe considering to relocate to Atlanta, GA which could probably lead to another expansion by 1960 or 1961.

UP NEXT: RECAPPING THE 1954 COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON WITH A PLAYOFF ITTL.

This Just In: 22-Year-Old Lamar Hunt along with 31-Year-Old David Dixon have put up their bids for the 1956 AFA Expansion to 28 Teams, Lamar Hunt decided to team up with Kansas City Mayor H. Roe Bartle by putting up a team in Kansas City while David Dixon has placed a bid for a New Franchise in New Orleans, LA but the AFA is going to have a Six Team Expansion but Canada will be involved however Montreal will get the Alouettes into the AFA, while the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in which they won 3 Grey Cup Titles before moving to the MWFA in 1951 and the Calgary Stampeders in which they won 1 Grey Cup before moving to the RMFA in 1951 are fighting to get a bid to join the AFA along with a Group of Investors from Vancouver, BC in which they are trying to enter the AFA for 1956.

But Should Kansas City and/or New Orleans may not get an expansion franchise for 1956, Lamar and/or David maybe considering on working for a Third Major League for Professional Football consisting of Cities that were Unsuccessful from getting an Expansion Franchise for 1956, However 46-Year-Old Chet Soda, A Businessmen from Oakland might be getting a New Franchise in the San Francisco Bay Area should Lamar and/or David failed to get a franchise for the AFA in 1956, Pat McGroder may follow suit and he is considered to get a Franchise in Buffalo, NY should neither of these two people be unsuccessful to join the AFA in 1956.

More Details will be Developing.

THE ROLL CALL OF CHAMPIONS

1951: Stanford
1952: Michigan State
1953: Oklahoma
1954: Ohio State

MEANWHILE AS THE 1956 AFA-NFA EXPANSION BUILD UP ROLLS FORWARD...

BREAKING NEWS: A Surprise Decision was made as the league will expand to 28 Teams by 1956 but the 2 Teams from the NFA with the Worst Record will be relegated and will be replaced with 2 New Franchises however one team from Canada will enter the NFA East to replace one of these teams which will be moved to the AFA East however both AFA and NFA Teams in New York City (The AFA Knights and NFA Giants) and Los Angeles (AFA Suns and NFA Rams) are ineligible to move.

BUT AS A RESULT...

Montreal has won a Bid to enter the NFA East as an Expansion Franchise to replace to one of those outgoing NFA East Teams with the worst record to the AFA beginning Next Year, The Team will be called the Alouettes and will be owned by Financial Advisor Ted Workman and Montreal Canadiens Owner Leo Dandurand.

Meanwhile the NFA West will have a Replacement Franchise however Hot Oil Explorer Clint Murchison is hoping to get a Team in Dallas in either the AFA or NFA and will be calling the team name the Cowboys and will be playing their home games in the Cotton Bowl, Houston is also considered as a Franchise in either the AFA or NFA, Bud Adams is expected to own this franchise and will be called the Oilers.

But for Lamar Hunt and David Dixon: Lamar Hunt had tried to work on a Franchise in Kansas City to play in the AFA for the 1956 Season but they decided to pull the plug and start a Third Major Football League by putting up a Franchise in Kansas City, MO, David Dixon has planned to call of the AFA Expansion and decided to concentrate for a new Third Major Football League so he will still get a Franchise in New Orleans, LA to play in the New League.

BUT THAT WAS THE BEGINNING HOWEVER: Not Only Chet Soda will be getting a New Franchise to bring Pro Football to the East Bay Section of the San Francisco Bay Area along with Pat McGroder who will be working on a New Franchise in Buffalo, NY, William Shea of the prominent law firm of Shea & Gould is hoping to get a 3rd Pro Football Team in the New York City Metropolitan Area, The Team will be called the New York Kings playing their home games at a New Stadium in Flushing Meadows which will open in 1961.

As a Result, Buffalo, Kansas City, New Orleans, New York and Oakland have secured the spots to create a Third Major League for Pro Football when we head to the 1960's, However we don't know how many teams will be playing in it's first season, but we will keep you posted as it develops on the next post after we recap the 1954 AFA-NFA Season.
