Not another game!

OK, I searched for it, and there seems to be no games like this so...

We all make a city in a location in the year 10000 B.C., and advance our city state to become empires and so on. No histories at first. The plan is to make all of the cities first, than expand them and fight each other and so on, to create a bunch of empires by starting with one city.

Rules:

· Pick a city location (Name it whatever you want, but tell us where it's at)
· The city will start out controlling an 80 mile radius around it (130 Km)
· PLEASE be realistic with your city's strengths and weaknesses. So, if you have Istanbul as your city, it'll probably be a fantastic trade city, but maybe not as focused on military or something. A Jeruasalem city will be focused on religion, and likely the focus of religious wars. A city like Rome would be balanced, and a city like Pittsburgh would be a good military producer.
· All cities must be on Planet Earth :p;)
· Only one city per person at first, two if the game isn't popular enough
· Don't steal a city location from someone else
· Maps would be nice
· Governments, religions, etc. will be worked out once things really start to begin.
· Be a good sport and be realistic. If your city just isn't going to win, don't say "I got nukes" and blow the Earth up.
· Tech improvement will improve with the time period; guns will come around the renaissance, nukes around the 1940s, etc.
· Religions will form at the same time and places. However, you can choose to stay part of that religion for as long as you want. (Example: If you have Baghdad and don't want to convert to Islam and be Zoroastrian, all the power to you)
· Religions will spread roughly the same way as they do in our world. So, the West will probably be Animistic/Pagan until 1500s.
· Governments will also spread at roughly the same way as religions (OTL's spread of democracy will be the same kind of thing as this TL, though once you get to 1850 or so, you know what the rest of the world is doing, so Communism could spread to NA instead of Russia in that way)
· Don't be in a hurry to fill up the Great Plains or something. The empty place will be filled with "Barbarians", and your settlement can begin advancing towards them once the game truly begins.
· Wars will be done between the leaders of the warring factions, so if I'm at war with someone else, we both work on our war together.
· No Wanking! ;):D

Turns will be 500 years from 10000 B.C. to 1000 B.C.

Turns will be 1 month from 2000 on.

(Please give me an opinion on if you think the turns are spread out long enough)

My hope is for around 80 cities, but I'm not making that a necessary goal to achieve, and can be superseded.

I would say around 15 cities in North America (US/Canada)
15 in Europe
15 in SA/CA/Caribbean
10 in Africa/Middle-East
20 in Asia (including Japan)
5 in Australia/Oceania

I'll start with the Gibraltar region as Gibraltar City. Gibraltar is focused on trade and commerce.

I hope this made sense!

Please ask me questions if you're confused on how the game works!
