At the end of WW2, the Republic of China, alongside the US, the Soviet Union, Great Britain and France were made members of the UN Security Council. The Republic of China War then replaced by its predecessor, the People's Republic of China. But, had the Chinese Civil War ended in a stalemate, with the communists ruling Northern China while the KMT keeping control of Southern China and Taiwan (so basically divided like Korea of Germany), which China (considering both Chinas recognize each other as a soverign country) would have remained in the UN Security Council? Which consequences would this have?
