I don't know what it would be though. "Reformer with Results" IRC, was another one of their soundbites and I doubt it had much traction OTL and I doubt it would TTL either. He can run on "Change" the way Clinton did in 1992 or Obama did in 2008, but given how things in 2000, economically and internationally were much better than they were in 92 or 08, I doubt that sticks either. The only way I see a Republican winning in this TL is if the Dotcom bubble pops earlier than OTL, moving the recession to 2000 instead of 2001, or Gore runs a worse campaign than OTL.Bush's message in 2000 would be different if Clinton's second term is different.

Why are we all assuming Bush would get the 2000 nomination? Surely if the Monica Lewinsky scandal didn't break that means it would be somewhat easier for McCain to get the 2000 GOP nomination, right?
