December 16th, 1997: Civil Servant agent Linda Tripp is found murdered right outside of the Pentagon. An investigation begins immediately, with many believing that Tripp was poisoned, due to reports of a foamy substance spewing out of her mouth when she was found by paramedics.
December 17th, 1997: SNL comedian and movie actor Chris Farley is rushed to the hospital after suffering from a drug overdose. Fortunately, Farley is treated early enough and survives without any serious damage, but he is forced to go into rehab for much longer then he had previously, meaning he will not be working on any movie projects until mid-1998. Farley reportedly was chanting his last rites while being treated, eventually muttering: "..Can't end up like...Johnny".
December 18th, 1997: Tomorrow Never Dies, the latest James Bond installment, is released into theaters. Immediately, the film receives widespread praise, with many critics enjoying the combination of serious themes and good old fashioned camp.
