Claudius Gothicus Doesn't Succumb to the plague

Claudius Gothicus was well on his way to ending the third century crisis when he died in 270, and his successor Aurelian finished the job. He crushed the goths at Naissus, hence "Gothicus." He showed a lot of promise, and if he did not die of the plague could be looking forward to a reign of rebuilding the empire from the ashes of the third century, as Aurelian had started to do, and Diocletian finished.

So what if he didn't die of the plague in 270.

Let's say that he lives until 282 AD. That would butterfly away not only Aurelian as emperor but also some shortlived emperors. So, Probus directly after Claudius Gothicus. I don't know if butterflying away a competent emperor like Aurelian would help the empire.

Perhaps Claudius's survival could have butterflied away Diocletian who worked his way up during the short reigns of Claudius's successors... Without Diocletian Roman Empire wouldnt have survived or at least without him would have been transformed into somerhing different without future...

I don't see how the Roman Empire wouldn't have survived. Diocletian's reforms IMO are overrated, and the tetrarchy fell apart after he retired. Aurelian or Claudius Gothicus would have done just fine with their own reforms. They we re certainly competent enough.
