(WARNING: Biased Article)
So, a lot of us kind of have an idea that the Civil Rights movement ended in the 1960s. But that's not the case, right?
Anyway, it seems as if in the 70s as opposed to the 60s, with all the hippies and the sexual revolution, people in the 70s, and the 80s, were more conservative, with Democrats opposing affirmative action bills, and abortion. I dunno if this is because what was going on in the 60s was seen as radical, or what. Also, that BS idea that "when you get older you get more conservative". For millennials, (albeit they're still not that old) the opposite has been shown to be true.
I know there were those Miami riots in 1980. I'm interested in two things:
1. Knowing more about the civil rights movement in the 70s
2. How could America keep that progressive........revolutionary attitude like it had in the 60s?
I've asked about keeping Malcolm X from being assassinated. Maybe he wouldn't make much of a difference. But what would?
