Christian Alawite state and Sunni Syria

What if when the middle eastern borders were drawn, the powers to be decided to attach Alavite coast to Lebanon and give Lebanese Suni hinterland to Syria. How would that affect things?

For one, Syria will end up being landlocked and might thus try seeking a union with Jordan and/or Iraq to get access to the sea.

The civil war will be different, it will be Sunni-Sunni conflict and fewer minorities and cultural treasures threaten or destroyed. I Think it could mean that say you have a general partition of Iraq as well and the creation of a Greater Kuwait that covers the Shia Arab part of Iraq and the Kurds get their own state. The Arab Sunnis would either join Jordan or the Saudis. If Jordan gets them it makes the Israel-Jordan conflicts interesting because it means a lot more fighters for Jordan.

From what I understand that was the plan, but the Christian country lacked depth so the Muslim hinterland was added to make it a viable country.

The King of Transjordan wanted to be King of Syria (basically meaning the Levant back then) so maybe this draws them closer to him? The French would probably keep a bit of influence in Lebanon and the Alawaite state, and this could... I was thinking have some effect on the Suez crisis, but maybe not. Besides, the Syrians and Egyptian didn't like that King for trying to take advantage of the Palestine wars to get land for himself. Especially when he was after theres as well. Anyways, will Hatay still be given to Turkey in this world? If not, the Syrians still have a coast, but the country would be further influenced by Allepo. Heck, maybe the Israelis break off the former Druze zone from within the French Mandate of Syria to use as a buffer country, and Alleppo and Syria go seperate ways, with a Baathist in one part and a king in the other. If they stay unified though, they might just occupy The Allawite area like they did Lebanon.
