Chinese Civil war: Nationalist

In the OTL, Nationalist lost due to the lack of support from the rural population (Which made up most of the Chines population that time).

What if Nationalist gain rural support by land reform ("suggesting" the landlords to follow what the public wants and encourage them to invest their money in factories, maybe the government can have some compensation policy for these landlords.) Would the Nationalist still lose the Chinese Civil War?

That's one of the issues explored by Faeelin in his TL The Legacy of Sun Yat-sen, in which the POD is Sun not dying in 1925.

Generally speaking, the answer would be a cautious yes. As late as 1947, the Nationalists had the upper hand, even in spite of their corruption and their failure to proceed with land reform.

another major problem was the failure to use the army units that were trainned and equipped by the US to the best possible use. The fear by Chaing of losing control was a major factor in the failure to use the better trained and equipped Nationalist forces .

It'll still be hard. The Chinese Nationalist regime was riddled with corruption to an astonishing extent, so even if the orders are given it's unlikely that many changes will be made outside of the vicinity of Nanking.

Nationalist victory would require a different strategy, allowing more capable commanders to act and more than anything else REFORMS that would allow the government to win the hearts and minds of the Chinese people.

i once read that the biggest mistake of the Nationalists was the invitation of communist held north, the author said that this badly weaken them and left an opening for the Nationalists fall, if they hadn't North China would be something like East Germany, poor and reliant on the USSR

It's quite true that the nationalist made the Mistake of trying to seize everything and as a result they tied down too much of their forces garrisioning the big cities of the north. The result is that they quicly had a supply problem. The Truman administration didn't help either by supporting Chiang and then witholding supplies , blowing hot and cold in support.
