China governed like North Korea

What if Mao ran the country in a similar fashion to Kim Il-Sung, and set it up to keep his family in charge when he is gone.

What effect would an over sized North Korea have on world politics?

And that's EXACTLY what Mao did until he died in 1976. It's easy to keep hardline rule - keep the Gang of Four in power. China wouldn't be like North Korea, but it likely wouldn't be the powerhouse if it stays very inward looking.

if china were to adopt the juche ideolgie of commusim. the versions of communism is, russian style, mao, or juche which north korea follows. if it took that road the military would be put first like in juche .cina would prablyy be a militayr superpower and if not like north korea did encouge trade would have taken tawian and stood up to the us or the soviets the chinses would be a superpower for sure

No, the Chinese would certainly not be a superpower without any economy to speak of and a large antiquated military.

well general if china did not cut off trade and improved realtions with all countries like european nations and did not take the great leap forward then the econmy would have exploded and with the juche ideoligie in place with the military first policy the china would amp up military ideas and making thus by the late seventies or earlier or later become a superpower.

Your first sentence doesn't make any sense, how would a China governed like North Korea not cut off trade and improved relations with all countries? Also the Great Leap Forward did much to damage the economy then improve it.

I'd say it was kinda different. North Korea tended to focus of grandiose projects in architecture (for example, a gold covered statue of Kim Il Sung). I think China's projects were much more modest.

the only reasone north korea is governed like it is only focuseing on heavy industries is becasue it is prepareing for war with the south and the us no other reason. for china it wouldint worry about tawian becoming a military power so it could improve realstions and i did not say the great leap froward help i stated if it did not happen then china's ecomimy would ahve devoloped more rapidly.

Yes that's true but the Great Leap For(back)ward would be even more likely and happen more if China was governed like North Korea.

well for it to be governed like north korea then there would have to be no mao and with no mao then on great leap forward

i tink not maos polices were maoism not juche and thats what version of communism north korea follows so it wasint here the link

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maoism thats for maoism

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juche for juche

now you learn that china would be diffrent under juche

I don't think the OP meant that China would be governed under Juche, it meant China would be governed in similar style. The most similar style in Chinese Communism would be Maoism.

well it already was and if it was it still be like it is today and it asks if china wad governed like north korea which north korea is governed under juche
