Many months ago, I made a post about this 50th Anniversary of JFK's Assassination Song and Video Tribute. Just wanted to let those who might have interest know for what it's worth that I spoke for the second time with Sherry Fiester last evening---who just recently cameout with a book called Enemy Of The Truth: Myths, Forensics and the Kennedy Assassination and I've been invited to be a "speaker" at the JFK Lancer Conference this November in Dallas, although I'll probably just say something appropriate to introduce the "Childhood's End" Song/Video presentation. She actually asked if I could stay there for the entire conference (four nights at the Adolphus Hotel). A few minutes into our conversation, I told her how compelling the story from her book was about how she once actually met Marina Oswald and had a long conversation with her. That's when I came to realize her sister Debra in the book is actually Debra Conway, who's one of the higher-ups in JFK Lancer Organization. Consequently, Sherry said she wants to show "Childhood's End" a few times, the most prominent being before during or after the Luncheons on both Thursday and Saturday, the two times I suppose when the most people will be congregated in one place. Not only will it be great to meet a lot of people there and talk about JFK, the assassination, etc. But also by that time I will have finished the novel I've been working on for the past year plus a screenplay I've just started to co-write with two really talented screenwriters. Hey, in my younger years, I used to rail against the entire concept of "networking" (come to think of it, back then that term hadn't even appeared on the scene!) Anyway, I assume there will undoubtedly be a few publishers, producers, etc. there I can meet...or others who might be gracious enough to refer me to someone. Regardless of whether that happens or not, I definitely want to be there and Sherry seems really enthused about it. Hey, I've read her book and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who might be in any way passionate about the subject, even all the naysayers out there who might think Jackie actually shot JFK or other such nonsense...
Just wanted to let you know the latest and thank everyone in the past for their kindness, graciousness and support. Sure, the song didn't end up in the upcoming "Parkland" film as I'd hoped , but at this point that's all past history in my mind. Other totally unexpected things are happening, which is really cool. Life is certainly strange sometimes...
Kindest regards to all,
Rick Ryan
