Checking the plausibility and effects of a maximum Pakistan

If you keep Bangladesh as part of Pakistan, the majority population will be Bengali. Of course, it's likely that the political and military elites will still be mostly Punjabi.

Can we get a leadership that is more accommodating to other ethnic groups ? I'm imagining that some kind of a long lasting rule by a Suharto-like figure which while still maintaining his tribe's dominance in the safe zone, but having many of his helpers from other ethnic groups from himself has made him to consider neglecting them and their kinds men as the last thing he would want to do, would going to ensure Pakistan's internal cohesivity better than OTL.....

East Pakistan had a greater population than West Pakistan until the 1970s.

There is no way that E Pak stays, as long as it is not geographically contigious. End of discussion.

And could you stop talking about "Punjabi domination". It dose not exist. Looking at Pakistans leaders, Jinnah was Gujarati, Liaqat Ali Khan was a from a Pashtun family settled in India, Ghulam Muhammad was Pashtun, Ayub Khan was Pashtun, Yayha Khan was Pashtun, Bhutto was Sindhi, Zia was from Indian Punjab (but family had settled in Peshawar), Benezir Bhutto from Sindh, Nawaz Sharif's family was from Kashmir (Indian part), Lehghari was Balcoh, Musharraf was from Karach and Zardari is Baloch.

I really don't think Pakistan could get much bigger than it is in OTL.

And who said Pakistan was "wealthier" than India, what now constitutes Pakistan was the least developed area of British India. Pakistani saw massive Industrialisation in the 60's, and 70's, something that would never have happened sans Independence.
