*Charles V* born as girl

A match with Beja would be useleless and all the daughters of Philip and Joanna got Kings in OTLs meaning who at least a ruler is required.

Then stop to throw names just for doing it…
Charles' sister IOTL wed John III of Portugal, and Charles IOTL also wed a Portuguese royal, it's not exactly ASB to say Beja...there weren't exactly a lot of kings running around for five archduchesses...

Yes it would be ASB! Luis is a second son, meaning he’s not anywhere good enough for any daughter of Philip and Joanna and he has nothing to offer her. Like her sisters, female Charles would only marry either a king or a king’s heir.

I mean, it's not as ASB as, say, Francis I of France...

A match with Luis of Beja would be more ASB than a French one. Francis is actually perfectly plausible as prospective husband for female Charles, you just have to kill off Claude of France earlier.
That was sarcasm, but sure, Francis for "Charlotte". (Very funny concept to me, because IOTL they haaaated each other's guts, also Charles locked Francis up for a bit.) Claude can die of the pox she died of IOTL. But why exactly would Francis be a plausible suitor?

GOD the poor girl. Why, though? He will already have a son, any male child birthed by Charlotte will not be king...
HE HAD NOT YET ANY SONS!!!!!!! You can bother sometimes to check what you say before talking? Sigismund II was son of Bona Sforza who was the SECOND WIFE aof SIGISMUND I!!!!!!! Sigimund married Bona (who was offered by Emperor Maximilian as proxy) when was clear who Eleanor was destined to marry elsewhere

Butterflies. POD that makes Charles female can make Sigismund's daughter male. Even if this does not happen, does not mean female Charles will be available for him to wed

What about *Charlotte* named after saint? Charles V was born on 24 February-not good choice of saints on that day. But 23 February is feast of Saint Martha of Astorga, who was from Spain btw.

What would you say?

Poland and France make sense for Charlotte, but it also matters for who is actually going to take them up on that offer. Savoy is also an option, or barring most other options for whatever reason Bavaria to her cousin. Luis of Beja is only really possible as a scandalous love match or if Juan III dies suddenly

It works, but Charlotte is just easier to work with as "female Charles"...

How desperate will Charlotte need to be to wed into Bavaria. Luis of Beja can work as a second husband, not a first...

Pretty desperate but they’re a safe bet if other options fail and they want to set her up somewhere.

And that’s pretty much what I meant for Luis. Unless his brother dies, it’s not going to be with the consent of Maximilian or Ferdinand that Charlotte marries him.

Ferdinand being the Spanish heir means he likely marries Isabella of Portugal, which means Anne of Hungary is a free woman and heiress that’s gonna need a husband to settle the succession. Would she end up married to John Zapolya here?

Ooh this will be interesting. Anne of Hungary, well, it's unlikely to wed her to John as he is much older than her and she can wed Christian III of Denmark for alliances...
