Charles of Anjou and Constantinople.

WI: Charles of Anjou had decided to occupy Constantinople around 1250 or so? The Latin Emperor Baldwin II was very weak at this time and the Greek reconquest was virtually unstoppable. Charles had already extended his influence in the Principality of Achaea, by the marriage of his son Philip to the heiress Isabella. What alliances could be made to ward off the Greeks of Nicea?

Charles d'Anjou was busy in France in 1250s... If he wished to interfere with the Empire he would do it around 1260s which is very late IMO...
Latin Empire was crumbling while Nicean Empire threatened openly Constantinople... He wouldnt have risked a war with Niceans...
