Charles III, Duke of Bourbon was born in 1490, and through his marriage to Suzanne de Bourbon became the undisputed Duke of Bourbon, after the death of Charles, Duke of Alencon he became the senior heir to the French throne should something happen to mainline of the Valois. He also alienated King Francis, through a dispute about the Bourbon estates after his wife died in 1521. He and his wife had twin sons born in 1518, who were shortlived. My questions are this, what happens if his twins survive and live on into adulthood, what impact could they have as the main heirs to the French throne? And what happens if there is no legal dispute as Suzanne outlives her husband?
