I'm sure there have been a fair few threads on the Glorious Revolution, my question for you is this, if James II and Mary of Modena's son Charles (born 1677) had survived and was alive when the original Glorious revolution happened in 1688, would the revolution have happened? From what I can recall, Charles II made it a point to ensure his brother's children were raised anglican, I imagine he'd have done the same for his namesake and nephew here, though if he dies in 1685 as he did otl, that means Charles junior is eight when his uncle dies. Is eight old enough to hold onto Anglican views or would he be shifted toward Catholicism? Furthermore, with not just one but two sons alive, one of whom is eleven, what does Parliament or rather the dissenting country party do? Do they invite William of Orange to take the throne as they did otl, or do they try and remove James to install Charles with a regency?
