Change in the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact

Ok so when the Germans and Soviets signed the pact, it included the clause that the Soviets would take eastern Poland, amongst other areas, as their sphere of influence. What if, however, the Germans changed this, they took all of Poland but the Soviets were allowed Finland and the Baltic states still.

Never mind the plausibility, but what effects would it have? The German forces would be closer to Russian territory when Barbarossa commences, would that have any benefit? Or would it be a negative for the Germans? Assuming the invasion still occurs 21st June 1941.

IIRC originally new German-Soviet border was supposed to be on Vistula river and Lithuania was supposed to go to Germany (as satelite or fully conquered). German quick success in Poland made the new border roughly on Bug river and in exchange Germans allowed USSR to take Lithuania. Finland was to be in Soviet sphere of influence from the very beginning.
Therefore I can not see the Soviets agreeing to this new deal, since they gain less.
But, let's say it happened. The Germans are indeed closer to Moscow, but OTOH the Soviets have the Stalin Line fully prepared to repel the invasion (it was mostly abandoned and devastated IOTL). That might cost the Germans a lot of time and trouble.
