Challenge: WWI a war with an Anglo-German alliance vs Franco-Russian-Austrian a

With a POD of 1890, how can WWI be fought as an alliance lead by Britain and Germany vs an alliance led by France, Austria-Hungary, and Russia? It has to be a balanced war of attrition as well.

You would obviously need the Ottoman Empire and Japan on Britain's side to balance it out, along with possibly the United States or Italy, or else it would be one sided.

A bit difficult, since it requires that the Balkan Aspirations of A-H and Russia won't collide.

Well, maybe with a different Austro-Prussian War in 1866: Bismarck gets ignored and the Prussian King pushes through with territorial annexations. Bohemia-Moravia for Prussia (or maybe as some 'Reichsland' like Elsass-Lothringen otl was) and Italy too gets not just Venetia but also South Tyrol and Istria (and maybe some further stuff along the Adrian coast, who knows)
Now that much stomped upon A-H basically loses its great power status and as such ain't really in much shape to meddle on the Balkans any more and thus the Rivalry to Russia is gone.
Of course Bismarck has probably resigned because of that and the otl Franco-Prussian war has just suffered Terminal Butterflies ;) (though Napoleon III could still get baited into doing something hasty and the otl shifting of alliances indicates that one doesn't need a war to get into opposing camps)
