Yeah, the Great Empire of Rome and China......which didn't last extraordinarily long.....not least because the Romans, for whatever reason, never bothered to build cities in their newly conquered lands.

OK, I just read the appropriate sections. Wow. Great TL. But I was hoping for something more permanent than just a century or two of Roman rule after the conquest...is a 'separate but equal' status possible, like Austria-Hungary?
