The Shun Dynasty was the reason the Qing were able to establish themselves so easily. By simply rising to power, they were distasteful enough that Wu Sangui chose to join the Manchus to avenge the Ming, handing over Shanhaiguan and letting the Manchus march on the capital.

Well, true enough, if you accept the version in the official histories; but how likely are they to portray Wu Sangui as a schemer?
