Challenge: Roman Empire suriving until WWI

After standing for more than a thousand years, the Roman Empire is one of the large superpowers right before WWI. America might enter the war, on either side. All the lands of the Austria-Hungry belong to the Roman Empire.

Central Powers:

German Empire (1914 borders)
Russian Empire (1914 borders)

Vs

Allies

British Empire (1914 borders)
Roman Empire

Incredibly ASB. Not to mention that if the Roman Empire somehow managed to indeed survive until 1914, the chances of it looking anything at all like the OTL Rome is close to nil.

Oh god, can we not start this again? Please?

This is ASB, there is no way Rome could survive and have a German and British Empire with the OTL borders. Either you know that and are trolling, or are just a huge noob.

One could argue that not only did the Roman Empire survive until the Great War , but two Roman Empires did so.
The Ottoman Empire and the Russian Empire both made claim to being a successor, and the Russians did not have the obviously strongest claim, if you catch my drift.
Doesn't solve the border, though.

as in Eastern Roman Empire of Slavs? Well, Russia's (Muscovy) rise missed Byzantine Empire's decline by mere decades. Would fall of Constantinople be awerted in 1453, rising Orthodox country could become "Eastern Roman Empire of Slavs". Alternatively, Catherine II (the Great) of Russia could actually succeed in her project to re-establish Byzantine Empire under her grandson's sceptre.
