Challenge: President Alton B Parker

I think this is near ASB. I can't for the life of me think of a way T.R. loses.

Maybe have the strike early in his term go really, really badly, or something. Enough to put a dent in his approval ratings, or something.

Actually the election was not much of a landslide, it would only take a change in seven states for Parker to win.
Parker wins 240 to 236. The states that change are Missouri, Delaware, New York (which Roosevelt won by only 175,552 votes), West Vir, Indiana, Colorado, and New Jersey.

Well, Parker was viewed later as highly qualified, but even at the time, he was an obscure figure, as in this TR campaign song:
"Oh I know our Billy Bryan- I went crazy for him twice.
And Yellow Billy Hearst, he's the man who has the price.
I remember Grover Cleveland too, with Wall Street for a barker.
But, what I really want to know is- who is Parker?"
