Challenge: Make OTL sound ASB

pretend we are in an ATL and the OP of this thread was outlining OTL. your job is to criticize it for sounding too ASB.

Here is an example:

Hitler could NOT have become the chancellor of Germany. The people would not have allowed a rambling madman like him take office. He even had that book 'mien kampf' I think it was called, no one took him seriously.

Besides why would he attack the Jews out of the blue. there is no reason for it. And wasn't it Germany who helped the Jews out during the 1907 Russian pogroms.

Banned
*points to British Empire, the USA, the lack of a German Superpower, Russia covering that much territory with so little population, Japan having any shot at any sort of colonial empire, continued existence of microstates, an obscure jewish carpenter becoming a world icon, ect ad infinitum*

OTL is ASB.

I wouldn't just say that this time line is implausible, I will say it is IMPOSSIBLE. the war saw pact would not disband if there was still a threat from the west.

America is the land of paranoia, they would know if a terrorist attack is coming for a long time in advance, it is very implausible that ANY attack would be successful in the states.

similerally, the october revolution does not make any sence, the tsar would have lenin immediatly executed.

How about Germany?
Unified,
major war in the early 20th century: massive population losses + large amounts of land lost, retarded in military technology from then on, but then;
major war in mid 20th century: again, massive population losses + large amounts of land lost.

And today, it's once again a major economic power!

Don't forget being split in half and occupied.

Everything in OTL is ASB. Genghis Khan and the Mongol Empire(s), the Industrial Revolution and modern technology, and the rise of the Caliphate particularly so.

The English battering the French for a hundred years and then a lowly peasent girl gets a call from God and the French win!

The ARW: A pack of disorganized, squabbling farmers and smugglers led by a mediocre general appointed by a mismatched, competative ad hoc "Congress" managing to take on and defeat the mighty British Empire as it was peaking in might?

Not to mention all the deus ex machina (convinient fogs that save the contenental army, the British Navy failing to take the "obvious" step to trap them, etc.) that made it happen.

Total ASB. :p

What a nut!!

Okay, a country with a war in which their capital gets invaded and burned, part of the country secedes and they lose nearly 500,000 people, fights a war against two powers an ocean away and WINS!! Then, of course, some nutjob completly unfit for anything counqers almost all of Europe, and the country only declares war when somebody else bombs them. Then their former ally becomes their worst enemy!! Whoever created this is crazy!!!

What's the POD for this TL?

America being attacked on its own soil by their own commercial airplanes. Europe as the location for two major wars in the span of only 25 years. America defeating the British for god's sakes. No military skirmishes between the U.S. and the Soviet Union.

OCC: Bonus points to whoever can guess the counrty!!:D:D
No points; any AHer worth his salt sees it's the USA.

The fact that the US exists is near-ASB, for many reasons, which have been discussed elsewhere. Heck, US history as a whole is ASB. A few sterling examples: the previously mentioned Revolution, the simple fact that a country made up of a few rebel colonies managed to conquer half a continent, defeating or overcoming many a superior challenger (including Britain, Mexico, Spain, and itself). Then, they refuse to get involved in the two greatest conflicts ever until provoked, and end a period (in each case) of severe isolationism. After that, it becomes a superpower for the single reason that no one cared about North America enough to actually focus their efforts there. Then, along with half of Europe, they entered a non-war with the only other superpower, which they won, simply by not being the one that fell apart. Then, despite being the most powerful nation on earth, they get attacked by terrorists with boxcutters. And start two wars.

What the HECK?

Other OTL-ASB: Battle of Midway, British Empire, Caliphate, colonisation in general (You're telling me that a few Europeans managed to occupy or control in some way every bit of land on Earth except north-central China and Mongolia?) Oh, and speaking of Mongolia- KHAN!

The Industrial Revolution, the Roman Empire (see above notes about Europe), everything.
