Challenge: Keep Sideburns In Style

I have sideburns. They're awesome. I'm kinda sad that the day of the sideburn is over.:(
But there was a golden age, long ago, from the 60's-70's (and maybe into the 80's) when the burn ruled.

The challenge, therefore, is to keep sideburns popular. And the modern trend (the mid 20th century), no copping out and having the old timey muttonchops keep popular in 1900 or what have you.

Rutherford B Hayes lives forever.
Failing that, Orthodox Judaism becomes the most popular religion somehow.

Hayes had a full beard when he was President. The man to immortalize is Chester Arthur.

I'm sure that a lot of it has to to with the world wars, so perhaps without them facial hair will be more accepted. And movies probably played a big role also.

well I do know why they fell out of fashion as their alternate name is... buggers grips....so...ahem....shave em off old chap!

Who in early 60s would say that long hairs were popular only six or seven years later?
The answer my friend is not blowing in the wind, but is very simple.
Make the most populars pop music heroes (like Beatles,Stones,Doors) have sideburns instead or togheter long hairs, and you have sideburns anywhere in 70s and maybe early 80s.
Well, not anywhere; personally the "Don Draper" cut is perfect to me.;)

Remember, the key are the damned rockstars.

Those guys did have sideburns along with long hair.

I agree, keep the rockstars and other sex symbols wearing them. As long as sideburns are seen as attractive by women, then they'll stick. At the end of the day that's why we guys shave or don't--depending on what the girl we'd like to get with likes.

So keep sideburns sexy somehow.

Elvis had sideburns, right? He lives, makes a comeback in the 90's, and creates a reemergence of the trend as a country music star.

And a charismatic President with sideburns?
Carter...is not charismatic.
Reagan.. no for sure,Ronnie was a bit a 50s type in look.
Maybe if Robert Kennedy lives, and become President in 1972 0r 76,and have long sideburns...
