"Another question with regard to many western they're basically saying that the Roman Catholic Church began with the Great Schism and everything before that was Orthodox. Which is certainly a POV:cool:

At the time of the Reformation and for several years after the Anglicans when they were roused, asked the papists, "Where their Church had been before Trent"? It was considered that the Holy Roman Church was a child of the Council of Trent, the result of a papal coup! See, John Evelyn's Diary march. 1686. (The New Church of Trent! )
Even today many Traditional Anglicans consider the Church in England to be a Western Orthodox Church!
 
England was orthodox? But I've read stories of Alfred the Great recieving presents such 'wood from the crucifix jesus was crucified on'.
