Challenge: Earlier breakup of Yugoslavia

Introducing the new format:

Goal: Yugoslavia broken up into at least 3 states (one of which may or may not retain the name)
POD limitations: After the Potsdam Conference
Available time: Before the death of Tito
Bonus points: Goal accomplished without any armed conflict

Pretty simple, actually.
Let Stalin invades Yugoslavia in 1950/51.
After crushing of resistance, he decides that is much simpler to control smaller states, so divides Yugoslavia in: Slovenia ( OTL ), Croatia ( with part of B&H ) and rump Yugoslavia ( OTL Serbia, Montenegro and part of B&H ).
He gives Macedonia to Bulgaria and Kosovo to Albania ( to please them ).

Doesn't seem plausible given events elsewhere at the time.

Why not?
USSR acquired nuclear weapons by that time. I seriously doubt that USA would enter a nuclear war against USSR in Europebecause of some communist country like Yugoslavia, while entangled in Korea.

Besides, I don't see any other option...

I think Korea is the biggest issue here as well as the Stalin note proposals, which would be rendered even more DOA by this sort of conflict.

The first issue I have with this is that dividing Yugoslavia is an ideological faux pas - the last person to do it was Hitler. The 2nd is that it doesn't actually aid his control of it. The Serbo-Croatian rivalry may result in both states seeking to one-up each other in Moscow's eyes, but it may also result in one of them turning to the West in response to Soviet favoritism toward the other; an independent Slovenia, even if communist, will need much "assistance" to resist the economic pull toward Italy and West Germany.

True, but also, any of them individually will be much weaker to resist to Soviet influence than whole Yugoslavia.
Stalin will maybe try to avoid new Tito.
