Challenge: Denmark as a Republic after 1864?

In 1864 Denmark suffered its last major millitary defeat at the battle of Dybbøl where the forces of Imperial Germany took the last remains of the danish empire, Schleswig-Holstein. Could this defeat have trickered events that could have turned Denmark into a Republic? Maybe someone using general resentment towards the nobility in Denmark by the majority of poor danes?
Because poor danes had suffered the most and it was their sons and husbands who had lost their lifes or had become invalids as a result of war!

Impact on Europe.

I wonder if Denmark became a republic what impact it would have had on the rest of Europe. After all, from the Danish descendants of King Christian IX came many who had a direct influnce on history. Consider, that his daughter Alexandra marries Edward VII of Britain, his daughter Mini marries Alexander III of Russia, son Wilhem becomes George I of Greece, son Frederik VIII of Denmark and grandsons George V of Britain, Nicholas II of Russia, Constantine I of Greece, Haakan VII of Norway, and Christian X of Denmark. Would all those ruling houses be interested in marrying into or electing as monarchs a member of a former and exiled royal house?

The best chance for turning Denmark into a republic are in 1920 in the Easter Crisis. 1864 would be a bad point the ones whom had failed was the progressive National Liberal movement, which was why the more conservative forces could push for a reactionary constitutional change, those forces tended to be pro-monarchy.
In the Easter Crisis we just need the king to not back down, which would result in violence in the street, and even if the king won, the monarchy would likely be removed when Social Liberals (Radicale Venstre) and Social Democrats (re)gained power.

Interesting that the same king you refer to, Christian X is the same monarch who may well have solidified the institution by not going into exile and openly defying the Nazis during the occupation.
