Challenge: Bastille still standing

I guess it depends on how much influence Palloy had on the decision to tear it down. If he was instrumental to that and his claims to have helped storm the Bastille were true, just have him get shot. Seriously injured or dead, same difference. Now if they had definitely decided to tear it down without his influence and he was just the winning bidder, that's a different story.

This is pretty difficult to accomplish, actually. After the Revolution it is seen as a symbol of the Ancien Régime, and before the Revolution it was actually scheduled for demolition (IIRC). So it seems that no matter what happens in France sociopolitically, the Bastille is destined to be destroyed. :D

Within a few days after the fall of Bastille, many people visited it and it seemed to be turning into a memorial of the victory of revolution, but Palloy intervened to demolish it.

Tuileries was demolished by 3rd Republic after having been burned by Commune. But 1st Republic, despite having been avowedly antimonarchial, did not demolish Tuileries. Could Bastille be preserved as memorial of the victory of revolution?
