Challenge: A more Asian USSR

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to add Mongolia, Iranian Azerbaijan and Kars-Ardahan to the Soviet Union by the present day/date of its dissolution with a POD after the Potsdam Conference.

The Soviets go to war with China in the late '60s and clean their clocks. They annex parts of northern Manchuria, and decide to annex Mongolia to add emphasis. This leads to the perception of Russia as the new strongman in Asia, and the rest of the additions happen in the decades to come.

Well the absorbtion of Mongolia is easy, it was in my opinion another SSR in the Soviet Union anyway but I think the Soviets liked to have a smaller oficial border with China in OTL. I also believer from 45-49 the Soviets could of easily moved into western China and annexed land since back then Han Chinese hadn't begun their invasion of other ethnic groups ( so today you would see far more central asian nations ). As for Iranian Azerbaijan I don't know I think the west would jump in if their was any agressive movements towards Iran, although perhaps after the revolution if it isn't butterflied away.
