Cesare Borgia...as a conquistador!

while making a timeline of the events of the entire Assassin's Creed franchise for a project, possibly the craziest idea for an OTL personage i've had since deciding on US President Winston Churchill occurred to me: Cesare Borgia living longer than he did historically and, of all things, possibly taking the place of Hernan Cortes as the leader of the conquistadors that defeated the Aztecs (or alternatively in the role of another historical conquistador)

leaving out any biases from Assassin's Creed (and i'll have to look further into Cesare's OTL history for this to work) what does everyone think? my typical quick research has told me that IOTL he died on March 11, 1507, in Viana when he chased a group of enemy knights out into the open without realizing that he was by himself and was killed by them in an ambush. this ultimately came about because of a fit of rage, as i understand it, so if Cesare keeps his cool, he could very well survive this operation in Viana. the trick of making him a conquistador afterward would really rely on him being in a position to either willingly depart for the New World or be assigned to it

I don't think it would be plausible : first, he was on the employ of the king of Navarre, not to Isabela or Ferdinand (the king of Navarre was actually his foe and he dided fighting aragonese forces).

Then, the conquest of Mexico or Peru was mostly done by hidalgo a lower and poor nobility. Cesar Borgia, on the other hand, depsite his fall was still someone clearly identified as ambitious and serving his own interest : I don't think it would have been seen as a sensible choice to give such a man, able to turn an army for own purpose.

You'll answer that it what did conquistadors OTL : but it wasn't that obvious before the unexpected conquests that they would be not only able to take it all, but as well to make their own rule their.
With a Borgia, on the other hand, it's what you're expecting.
