Ceasar doesn't visit Senate on the Ides of March?

Pretty much the same... Caesar would have been an early Augustus... Propably succeded by Caesarion (If Caesarion managed to survive Mark Anthony's and Octavian's plots)

Brutus et al. get him later.

If Caesar doesnot retaliate with proscriptions...
Had not Caesar went to the Theatre of Pompey where the Senate met he would have been informed about the plot to assassinate him (in OTL a Senator tried to warn him but his servant arrived too late in Caesar's home) and the "Liberators" would have been dead within days...

Of course, there could be some interesting effects on Roman politics if Caesar finds out there was an attempt to assassinate him after he showed mercy to some of his political opponents. If he decides to imitate Marius and Sulla with proscription lists then the transition from Empire to Republic and Caesar's legacy are going to be very different from OTL.

Doesn't he lose face by not going ? I was under the impression he was having some definite political problems at the time. If he stays away due to his fears it will be seen as additional weakness

Actually Caesar intended not to go to the meeting... He had declined the Crown 3 times and was afraid a fourth offering... A conspirator sent by Cassius persuaded him to go to Pompey's Theatre... (The servant sent by a Senator to warn him for the plot arrived few minutes after Caesar's departure...)
