Catholic Japan

What would it take for the Jesuits to successfully make Catholicism the official religion of Japan?
Nobunaga Oda converts to Christianity after being saved by his african Retainer Yosuke and then being sheltered by Jesuit priests or Ieyasu Tokugawa gets the same vision of the flaming cross in the sky as Constantine right before the pivotal battle of Sekigahara and begins to lessen restrictions on christians as a result getting baptised on his deathbed and educating his successor in christian ethics.

But in all honesty, Japanese Christianity will be drastically different to mainstream Christianity, due to sheer culture, and growing concern of European interference in Japanese politics might still cause a Christian Tokugawa shogunate to still close themselves off albeit without the Christian persecution and will form their own wing of Christianity which will be more akin to a crusader states mindset when they emerge will go on a crusade style rampage all over asia

Nobunaga and Ieyasu are terrible candidates for being the Japanese Constantine, they had way too many invested in the traditional institutions to simply flip and gamble.

It's hard to say, the thing is most Catholic Daimyo were not threats even the Otomo. Perhaps there could be a theoretical catholic Ouchi clan and an Ouchi Shogunate Especially if Ouchi Yoshitaka manages to defeat the Amago and keep Yamaguchi as a haven for Catholics, and if he converts with his vassals.
