Catherine of Aragon outlives Henry VIII

So what happens if CoA outlives Henry VIII? IMO it was certainly possible, as Juana's older sister outlived Henry VIII. Also two of CoA's grandparents (Isabella of Portugal and John II of Aragon) made it past 65.

I don't think anything really changes since Catherine basically did nothing I can think of in exile. I can see Mary being even more bloody than in our timeline in order to prevent her devout catholic mother, the rightful queen preceding her in Mary's eyes, from seeing her relm go against the pope. If Catherine is still alive that is, and if she is still alive for her daughters coronation I can see Mary inviting her back to the English court to act as the Queen mother.

If she survives, it's unlikely Henry axes Anne Boleyn since he went through so much to get her and then kills her while his first wife his still alive. It would make him look the fool and that is something Henry wouldn't tolerate.

I think he still would. He would look more of a fool if Anne kept having trouble conceiving. Getting rid of her gets rid of her troubled pregnancies and a female heir (Elizabeth)

I brought it up for a few reasons. While Catherine lives, Henry isn't going to be able to have unquestionably legitimate children. Because in the eyes of Catholic Europe, Catherine was his wife and while she lives any children born to Henry and another women are bastards. Edward didn't have that problem (and was regarded as unquestionably legitimate) in the OTL since his parents married after Catherine's death.

Also some say that Anne Boleyn was relatively safe until Catherine died. Once she died Henry would finally be free to marry elsewhere and have legitimate heirs.

Sword, Anne was beheaded by a sword. Henry even imported a swordsman as his one last act of grace.
