In 1969, Hanna-Barbera came up with an idea of an animated action series that took inspiration from Land of the Giants. It was called "The Barefoot Giants". The musical director was Ted Nichols.
The plot is about a giant whose two humans can be survival through a giant zoo with a barefoot step into the ground and can survive through attacking many people in the late 20th century set 15 years later in 1984.
ABC however meanwhile picked up the show and wanted air The Barefoot Giants on the Saturday morning schedule, in between The New Adventures of Gulliver and American Bandstand. Hanna-Barbera however the show to last 16 episodes. ABC however pulled the show in 1970.
Fully ITTL, IOTL, the show however never happened and Fantastic Voyage however aired in between The New Adventures of Gulliver and American Bandstand until the American Bandstand spinoff Get It Together premiered.
