I wanted to start a discussion on the possibility of a victorious Carlist cause in the first war. The war in the North had been in favor of the Carlist armies. Is it possible for the war to be brought to a victorious end within the timeframe of 1835/1836 if Carlos heared his advisors and de Zumalacárregui and decided to march the Carlist army on Madrid and ignoring Bilbao, instead of laying siege to a British-supplied Bilbao as happened in RL?

Since the Carlists don't lose one of their best generals to an infected bullet would, can de Zumalacárregui lead the army of Carlos to Madrid? Even if he is successful and captures the city, does this mean the end of the Liberal cause, and what would the effects be for Spain and the world in general?
