I'm not a great history buff and this is a period I don't know very well at all, but it seemed like an interesting thing to see discussed.

What do you think the impact would have been if Clausewitz had survived the cholera outbreak of 1831, and lived to, say 80 or 90 years old? How would this have affected his writing of On War? What would the added 30+ years of life contributed to his research and ideas? How could the broader world be influenced by Carl living long enough to produce a complete version of his book?
