Capitals of Germany other than Berlin?

Frankfurt is very poorly placed as a rail hub, though.
Well, these days its the second largest rail station in Germany, behind Hamburg. And its certainly in a geographically central position, so I dont say why it would be poorly placed as rail hub...

Frankfurt isd central to the FRG, but it's fairly marginal to a Germany that includes Prussia. Going from Berlin to Munich or hamburg via Frankfurt is a lot more awkward than going from lille to Marseilles via Paris or from Kiev to Omsk or st Petersburg via Moscow.

Hmpf. Except for Silesia, its not like the regions east of the Oder have any economical or infrastructural value anyways ;) But of course, "hub" shouldnt mean "absolutely all routes are to be directed through it" - and Berlin is after all even less ideal for that.
