Canucks: have Ottawa use its nullification power

Without the Supremes' intervention and a post-1900 POD, have the federal government nullify a provincial law. Bonus points if it involves Alberta or Quebec.
 
It would have to be used earlier. A better precedent would be the Padlock Law, where the DOJ did seriously consider nullification and wartime conditions would prevent too severe a backlash. The notwithstanding clause in PET's Constitution is a safeguard against the Charte, which does not violate any criminal or civil statute except certain elements which have been ordered modified by the Supreme Court. At its core it is still constitutional.
