Can the Russian Empire survive if ww1 is years later or never happens?

Can the Russian Empire survive if ww1 is years later or even if there not a major war in Europe or Asia for a few more decades or is the Russian empire doomed to collapse into communism or some other kind of totalitarian government?

Keeping in mind the limit here is from 1900 onwards, . . .

Only if Nicholas II "hands" over the position of Tsar to somebody else (his whole reign had the sense of impending doom, befitting someone who was not really interested in the position in the first place, not to mention that inauspicious start), and the earlier the better. Even then, it's not certain the Russian Empire would survive without the major needed reforms that much of the upper levels of Russian society were against. Even if it basically survived as a larger Thailand, that's still barely a step up from what Nicholas II did, if one wanted to retain the monarchy. Otherwise, the Russian Empire was sclerotic enough, much like the USSR in its latter days, that its collapse was basically inevitable, even with the state-centric and haphazard way it was beginning to industrialize.

With anyPOD of after 1900 Russian Empire's chances to survive are quiet small. Nicholas II was messing too many things so some kind of revolution was going to happen sooner or latter. Either Russia will become actual constitutional monarchy or then fall to republican form but not necessarility to communism or another totalitarian system. But monarchy just have not very good chances for survival.

The Empire surving the war? Most certainly, it took 4 years of disastrous warfare and famine to break it OTL (not that things were good beforehand, but victories abroad and an advance into germany would take the brunt off the people.) the country was industrializing quickly, much to the Kaisers' fears

The empire surviving the 20th century? That depends on how fast Nicholas gets shot and how much Alexie's advisors are willing to reform

Yes it can, During the Years of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia had been doing a very good job lately, Avoid Or Make them win the Russo Japanese war, and Nich's popularity will skyrocket if he win, if avoided, Nic's reign is not destabilized.

Russian industries was growing very rapidly they are industrializing at a very rapid rate. Living conditions are getting better. Nicholas isn't competent as people often think of him, He is an excellent administrator = competent. Coal and Iron production tripled during his term, more rights for russians are given , and public education is introduced, and Nic tried to protect the jewish people instead of harrasing them on what other tsars did.

I am sure reforms would be gradually made and ITTL we will see a Constitutional Russian Empire today. If successful, In the 1950s Russia's economic, military, and political prowess will be next to the US, Being the dominant power in Europe.

it's depends on one thing
can Lenin who is in Exile in Swiss, return save to Russia ?
The German Empire gave him save train ticket to Petrograd in 1917

i think with out Lenin, Russia after collapse of Czardom could evolve into democratic republic

Probably yes, although there's a world of difference between "could" and "would." Quite a bit went wrong for the Russian Empire 1900-1917, and things like no or a more successful Russo-Japanese War or WW1 are entirely plausible. Whether this would save the empire isn't certain, but it probably could. Although rather than "collapsing" in to totalitarianism, you might see it "evolve" in to totalitarianism instead (or not. Big PODs involving Russia will lead to a completely different 20th century).
