Can an Allied or neutral Japan get anything in WWII?

If Japan stays out of China after 1931, can they get any territory from joining the Allies or promising to stay neutral?

Like agreeing to respect the Soviet Far East and declare war on Germany in exchange for the chance to buy North Sakhalin following Barbarossa, an opportunity to buy colonies from any of the financially ruined WAllies, or anything? A Permanent Seat on the UN Security Council or recognition of Japanese dominated Manchuria post war?

Unlikely barring a major divergence in the war in Europe to OTL. Colonialism was not exactly in vogue in the US and USSR, and while Britain and France will be in somewhat better shape post-WW2 without a Pacific War their Great Power status is still doomed. You'd need a situation in which the US & co need Japan enough that it is able to gain territorial concessions, which IMO would only be possible if there is some form of major Axis presence in East Asia, an unlikely proposition to say the least.
