In 1992 Norodom Rannaridh was elected as the first Prime Minister of Cambodia along with the second Prime Minister Hun Sen. Rannaridh is a legal professor and had worked tirelessly during the country's occupation by Vietnam for Cambodia to achieve independence.

My first question is how could he outmanoeuvre his rival in Hun Sen and what do you think the long term consequnces would be of his government for Cambodia?

My opinion is that the parliamentary structure and legal systems would have been strengthened purely because of his background. I expect there would still be uneven economic development, but to a lesser extent than the current TL.

As for foreign relations I feel a closer relationship with Thailand and a more balance relationship with Vietnam.
