Calvinist theocracy in Scotland?

So during the Renaissance Scotland went Protestant. To be more precise, Calvinist. Scots in fact were usually more protestant than their Anglican neighbors to their south. This might be crazy, but was their enough of a protestant feeling there for a group to establish a theocracy as was done in Switzerland? If so, where might it be? Would it last?

Like King Henry said read up on the Covenanters except forget Theocracy, these guys weren't the Iranians Mullahs, think 17th century version of the Taliban.
