Caesar's Corinth Canal

So let's say Julius Caesar isn't assassinated in 44 BC and is able to launch his campaign against either Dacia or Parthia. Caesar wanted to dig a canal through the Corinth Peninsula in order to better supply his operation in the Middle East. My question is, was it feasible with the current technology?

Probably its pretty narrow and a red sea/Nile canal was in existence at this time so there is precedent. The area is flat and there is a modern canal that confirms a sea level one would not need locks. On the other hand the walls of the modern canal are ninety feet tall, so as a manual job done by hand it would be a hellish undertaking to complete. There are also problems with the crumbly rock and the areas vulnerable to Earthquakes. It could be done but it would be a right pain in the neck to pull off.
