I don't suppose that there's any real consenus here about how much convergence is "acceptable" how far after a change, is there? Obviously most PODs aren't technically going to "require" everything that happens after them to be different from OTL, but to what extent do people think that the TL being a different TL makes exact parallel events involving people who theoretically could have been affected by the POD "unacceptable"?
Specifically, for my own TL where the main POD is King George II being wounded at Dettingen which causes a change to the British royal succession during the 1740s and this leads indirectly to 'America' getting what's essentially Dominion status instead of revolting -- although Britain and America then fight a war against France & Spain around the date of the OTL AWI anyway -- would you accept that _

1/ Captain Bligh's career goes more or less as per OTL (except for the Battle of Dogger Bank, which doesn't happen) until at least his return to Britain after the 'Bounty' mutiny of 1787?

2/ The British prince whom OTL was 'Prince Regent' and subsequently King George IV, but who in this TL comes to the throne as 'King George III' in direct succession to his grandfather, still has the 'Royal Pavillion' built -- just as it was built IOTL -- at Brighton?
