What if the Ottomans tried and prevented the re-unification of Bulgaria either by force or by diplomacy? Would other great powers get involved such as Russia, Great Britain, Austria etc?
You mean the annexation of Eastern Rumelia? Maybe Britain could intervene, in reaction to Ottoman, Greek and Serbian outrage/complaints. Russia would not want to piss Bulgaria, though.

Actually, in OTL Russia did just that. They condemned the unification and withdrew all their officers from the country. It was actually Britain that supported Bulgaria.
And annexation is probably not the correct word, IMO, as it was actually the Eastern Rumelian government after an uprising that requested joining Bulgaria.
